Our Vision…
To end homelessness in McHenry County one person at a time.

Our Mission…
To reconnect homeless men, women, and children with the community by providing emergency, transitional, and preventive services and to raise public understanding regarding homelessness in McHenry County.

Upcoming Events

PADS will be hosting a benefit concert featuring one of America’s up and coming country bands “Emerson Drive” so leap on over to The Raue Center for Performing Arts on Friday, February 29, 2008.

Their video “Moments” received the Video of the Year award.
Emerson Drive video “Moments” received Video of the Year honors from the Christian Country Music Association!

This is the second Video of the Year award win for “Moments.” The hit video was given it’s first honors in September with a Video of the Year award presented by the Canadian Country Music Association. Emerson Drive was a nominatee for a CMA Award on November 7, 2007 for Vocal Group and Video of the Year (for “Moments”). Don’t miss your opportunity to see this band up close and personal at the Raue Center.

Past Events

Thank you to the following groups for all their support:
Terri Dudar and the Minnehaha Rebekah Lodge No.77 from Richmond. This group held a wish list drive outside Walmart and Sears and donated many needed items.

Hebron United Methodist Youth Group for hosting a “Campout” and braving the cold, damp October weather. This group raised $870!! Youth members are: Karl Krieger, Andrew Krieger, Alex Arthur, Nick Nelson, Cody Nelson, Hailiegh Mogan, Anthiny Wasiak, Matthew Winter and especially Julie Krieger for all her hard work as a chaperone! Thank you

Thank you to Alyssa Clark and Christina Lanaski from Prairie Grove Elementary School for holding a food drive for “Make A Difference Day”

Thank you to: Fabiola and Allen Scholnick for all that you have done the past 6 years to help the countless number of homeless people that PADS serves. Faby and Allen have put countless numbers of hours into raising money, food and awareness for their “Make A Difference Day” project. They do this in memory of their sons Jeremy and Jonathan Scholnick. “God Bless You All”

A BIG Thank You to:
Crystal Lake Business2Business Network Group for hosting “Jazz for PADS” on Tuesday, September 11, 2007. This event raised over $1,400 and lots of needed items like: pillows, socks, sweatshirts, undergarments and more!

Baird & Warner Northwest Suburban Office in Crystal Lake held a ‘Bowl for PADS” on Sunday, October 7, 2007 at the Crystal Bowl in Crystal Lake over 40 people participated to raise money and awareness for homelessness. Over $1,500 was raised to support McHenry County PADS year round programs and services that provide help to homeless individuals and families in McHenry County.

Crop Walk 2007
Crop Walk 2007 was held on Sunday, October 14, 2007 at The First United Methodist Church at 236 West Crystal Lake Ave., Crystal Lake. Hundreds of walkers showed up in their gym shoes and walked several miles to raise money to combat hunger “worldwide”. It is estimated over $14,000 was raised! McHenry County PADS will receive 25% of the funds this year to provide food and shelter to the counties homeless population. Thank you to everyone who participated!
